Residence Permit Class "A"

The Residence permits Class "A" can be processed at TIC on behalf of investors. Documents required include: TIC Certificate of Incentives, covering letter, six photographs, a Curriculum Vitae, educational certificates, evidence of business premises, evidence of company registration, sectorial approval from any relevant Ministry and copy of passport pages authentificating nationality and validity of the passport, Memorandum and Articles of Association, share certificate or share transfer (i.e. for investors who have bought some shares or company. There is a fee of US$ 1600 for a Class A permit which is generally valid for two years. Permits can be renewed for an additional two years for US$ 800.

Residence Permit Class "B"

The Residence permits Class "B" can be processed at TIC on behalf of investors. Documents required include a covering letter, five photographs, curriculum vitae, job description, organisation structure of the company, academic qualifications, clearances from local professional bodies, employment contract, copy of passport pages authentificating nationality and validity of the passport, evidence that the company has tried to fill the position with a Tanzanian. Class B residence permits have a fee of US$ 600 for two years. There is a renewal fee of US$ 300.

NB: US$ 20 has to be paid for all types of permits as fee for re-entry pass in respect of each permit holder and his/her dependant(s) endorsed in such permit(s).
